What to Include in a Staircase PDF Export
A checklist for producing a useful staircase PDF for review, quoting, or early planning.
Include Inputs and Results
A useful export should show the dimensions that were entered and the calculated results: riser height, going, pitch, step count, and comfort score.
This makes it easier to review the design later without reconstructing the assumptions.
Show More Than One View
Side view explains rise, run, headroom, and pitch. Top view explains the footprint. Isometric view helps non-technical reviewers understand the form.
Together, these views reduce misunderstandings during early conversations with builders or clients.
Keep the Share URL
A PDF is useful for printing, but a shareable editor URL is better for iteration. Keep both in the project notes.
When dimensions change, regenerate the PDF from the latest URL state rather than editing old numbers by hand.
Put this into practice now
Open the editor and test these numbers on your own staircase. Live drawings, comfort score, no signup.
